Beauty Shop Night with No Action Movies

Our house turned into a multi-cultural beauty shop!  Full blown!  I was the only man amongst all women at my house (i mean no other guys were in sight - that meant no video games, no sports, no man-talk, no action movies, no wrestling, no tough guy talk, no UFC, no good eats/cold drinks and no farting was in the air-well maybe there was farting!) - I mean it was women's talk, women's issues, women dancing, singing, laughing and cutting hair for about 5 hours.

Actually this night was part of our small groups gathering we do at Christ Church International.  We have 8 women at 3 guys in our small group and NO MEN showed up that night except me.  Therefore, the night turned into a women's beauty salon night...Hey, I did get a free hair cut that night!

Pretty amazing...you have my wife (African-American woman) cutting Angie (Caucasian woman's) hair and Jen (Caucasian woman) cutting Lula (African-American woman's) hair.  Go head' ladies and break down those walls of division... 

A man's love affair...

Have you ever noticed that men love thier cars?  Well, BIG LOUIE does!  As you can see with his "pimp-lean" and "cool pose" - Louie is riden' high with his Mini-Monster-Truck...this truck is Louis' baby.  However, Louie is not alone many men have love affairs with their vehicles.  According to Dr. Eileen Alexander, cars feed into a man's need for ownership/possession and that sense of social acceptance. "It's easy to feel pride with one's car," she says, adding that often, there is immediate gratification from the time and effort spent, e.g. washing, waxing, shining one's car. "This also can give not only immediate but very satisfying pleasure."

I own a Ford ZX2 (i never wash, wax, and take little pride in it...what's wrong with me? crap, i want a new car!).
